Fall registration is open and announcing a new workshop too!

img_2826I’m kind of excited to offer a workshop this fall at The Contemporary Austin in Scandinavian Art Weaves.  Over a weekend, we will explore dukagång, krabbasnår, and halvkrabba, inlay techniques originating from the Swedish province of Skåne.  They are woven mostly without a shuttle, traditionally on a four-shaft horizontal loom. This course departs from those traditions, adapting the techniques to any loom and opening their design potential to contemporary interpretation. Looms are provided, or bring your own. Some introductory weaving experience is necessary.

I’ll also be teaching Weaving for Beginners and Beyond Basics, and as always you’re welcome to retake any class. I can adapt the material to it your skill and comfort level.
